Meet John Padula

My name is John Padula. I’m a devoted Husband, proud Father, a Pastor, and a proud resident of Kootenai County. I was born and raised in Kootenai County and have lived here the majority of life. The hometown feeling and genuine kindness of the people of Kootenai County are just some of the many reasons why I love to live here and choose public service.

I have an incredible wife, Amanda, and four beautiful children ages 12, 10, 7, and 6. We’re an adventurous family who loves camping, shooting archery, fishing, and hunting with our hound dogs.

Amanda, a dedicated third-grade teacher for 6 years, and I, with over a decade in pastoral service, are committed to making a positive impact on the place we love and community that we serve.

My story is one of redemption. My life was transformed when I accepted Jesus Christ into my life 15 years ago. At that time, I was addicted to drugs and I was all too familiar with the justice system.

Now that I’m a Pastor, I spend most of my time reaching out to those stuck in that cycle. My path has revealed the significance of building strong families and making an unwavering commitment to serving others.

Amanda and I started a non-profit for that very purpose. Over the past 11 years, we’ve offered support to nearly 600 people with addiction issues. We’ve opened our home to them while they’ve gone through rehabilitation programs after being homeless, detoxing from drugs, or being released from the court system. Today, many of them have gone on to have success in their journey.

I also serve as a court advocate for people in rehabilitation programs. I have become extremely knowledgeable about both sides of the local justice system. The issues surrounding addiction and crime impact every aspect of our community, but I’m confident that we can bring people together to find effective solutions for this and many other issues!

I stand for excellent service to all Kootenai County residents. I support transparent and limited government, responsible fiscal practice, and informed decision making. I plan to strengthen community protection while upholding law enforcement accountability. I intend to promote sensible growth management, preserve local businesses and culture, and protect our community values.
